Adam Caruso is not only a member, together with Peter St John, of theLondon-based architecture office Caruso St John but also a prolificauthor who has focused his thoughts on the practice of architectureand who has taken a new look at some of the leading figures of theso-called "other tradition" in the Modern Movement. In "SigurdLewerentz and a material basis for form" (1997), "The Tyranny of theNew" (1998), "The Feeling of Things" (1999), "The Emotional City"(2000), and "Towards an Ontology of Construction" (2002), we find anew perception of the radical approach adopted in modern andcontemporary architecture.
