Fatou dreams that she hears the makosa, an African rhythm from hernative land, as the festival of her town, Sant Genís, approaches. Butmany people do not want to go against tradition and friction threatens coexistence in the town school. However, in that summer of drought,there is a graver danger in the mountains.
